25 year-old student from Miri, Sarawak, Farah Kartini went out to hand over a rental car, and she never made it back. Days later, her body was discovered at a palm oil plantation in Hulu Selangor.

According to an official statement by PDRM, a 26-year-old civil servant who is also said to be Farah’s boyfriend has been detained for questioning. Farah’s best friend, however, has a message to all Malaysians, including the media friends.

The detained suspect IS NOT the late Farah’s boyfriend.

In a viral X post by @puterizaira, she clarified and urged the media to be careful with their headlines, and told them that the suspect who has been caught by PDRM IS NOT Farah’s lover.

“Farah was single and didn’t have a boyfriend. He harbored feelings towards Farah, but she didn’t want him.”

Puteri also reminded Malaysians to NOT believe the headlines that address the suspect as Farah’s lover.

In a shocking turn of events, PDRM released a statement today (July 16) and revealed the detained suspect is a fellow police officer who has been in the service for 5 years.

“Suspect was a police officer at the Slim River Police Station in Perak,” Selangor Chief Police said in a statement.

In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Puteri repeatedly confirmed that the late Farah was never in a relationship with the detained suspect. When asked if she knew about the existence of the said man, Puteri told WORLD OF BUZZ,

“I am not sure how they met, but the man is not Farah’s lover. She didn’t like him.”

In her other tweets, Puteri also told all social media users to be wary with their words about the deceased, especially those who know nothing about the late Farah.

“Mind your words. Farah is no longer here. Who are you going to apologise to later? Please pray for her.”

Farah’s brother, on the other hand, said that her body will be brought back to Miri as soon as possible for her funeral.

Rest in peace, Farah Kartini. We hope the perpetrator will face justice soon.
