Recent reports of Apple-related threats have sparked significant concern among Malaysians. Many individuals in Malaysia are getting worked up over these false alarms, making everyone extra cautious and on the lookout.
In a recent post that has been the subject of discussion among netizens online, @redzuanNewsMPB took it upon himself to share a concerning update regarding the latest bomb threat.
“Don’t throw or else it will explode”
In the post, Redzuan revealed that the sender would be subject to investigation under Section 506KK for issuing threats, given the labeling stating,
“Caution: Don’t throw this or else it will explode.”
The sender would also face investigation for criminal threats. However, as the package was deemed suspicious at the cargo facility in KLIA, it would be necessary to destroy it as a precautionary measure.
The packaging consists of a laptop and charging cable
Redzuan further clarified that the Action Detection, conducted with a K9 detection dog, found negative results for explosives.
Because of the threatening message on the package, the PDRM Bomb Disposal Unit has started following standard procedures under the direction of the OCPD KLIA.
According to reports by Bernama, KLIA District Police chief ACP Azman Shari’at stated that because of the threatening message on the package, the Bomb Disposal unit was summoned, and a robotic unit was used to destroy the package.
“Upon examination, it was discovered that the package contained a laptop and a charging cable.”
Despite it being a false alarm, it’s still unsettling to come across a package with such a label. Kudos to the authorities for taking prompt action!
