Michelle Mone, Lingerie Tycoon from Scotland shared her most embarrassing moment recently. During an entrepreneur’s conference in Vietnam, Michelle picked up an adorable ‘child’ in front of the 3,000 crowd.
It was not until a few minutes later that she realised that the ‘child’ was actually a 46-year-old man! What’s more, he is married!
The small statured man came on the stage to hand Michelle a bouquet of flowers, and thinking he was a 6-year-old kid, she scooped him up in her arms for a cuddle and selfie.
Within a minute or two, a woman who was sitting in the front row shouted, “Put him down! I am his wife!”
Shocked and embarrassed, Michelle quickly placed him back on his feet. She said, “The guy was fine with it and the whole room was screaming with laughter.”
Michelle who was a good sport about it, tweeted her shame, “Thought this was a six-year-old, picked him up, he’s a MAN”.
In an interview, Michelle told reporters about her embarrassing but funny ordeal.
“I thought something was wrong – his teeth were bright yellow from nicotine.” she said.
The man’s wife also reportedly asked whether it was simply ‘British custom’ to pick people up in that way.
Yikes! Never mess with another woman’s man!
The Scottish founder of the Ultimo underwear chain tweeted the incident but some people wondered if it was just a tactic or publicity stunt, but her spokesperson denied the allegations.
Moral of the story? Don’t simply pick up a child to carry! He may just turn out to be a grown ass man!
