A massive whale shark got stuck inside a fishing net in Kuala Terengganu
In the 1st video, recorded at sea during nighttime, several fishermen on boats can be seen gathering around a fishing net with what looked like hundreds of fish caught inside.
However, 1 fish stood out amongst the rest in the fishing net due to its sheer size: A whale shark!
In fact, the whale shark was more than twice the size of the small boat 2 of the fishermen were on.
Throughout the video, the whale shark can be seen struggling to move around the fishing net and trying to find a way out.

The fishermen jumped into the sea to help release the whale shark
In the 2nd video, which is a continuation of the 1st one, at least 3 fishermen can be seen jumping into the sea to help set the whale shark free from the fishing net.
After a short struggle, they managed to pull the fishing net under the whale shark before it swam away.
In doing so, many of the fish they caught were also released, but it doesn’t seem to bother the fishermen.
Afterwards, all of those who jumped into the sea safely boarded their respective boats.
