As the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) is gearing up for the second phase which focuses on high-risk groups and the elderly, KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital took this opportunity to assist patients who need special treatment and care to get their Covid-19 vaccinations, reported Astro Awani.
KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is also known to be one of the vaccination centres (PPV) in Selangor.
In order to facilitate these vaccine recipients, KPJ initiated a CSR programme in response to the government’s efforts and aimed to increase the vaccination rate of those who found it difficult to attend vaccination centres, said Chief Executive Officer of KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital, Farahiyah Badri.
“This is one of our CSR programmes to help Malaysians, especially those who are bedridden and the elderly to get the Covid-19 vaccine”, she added.
“The residents here have been registered by their family members to get an appointment at KPJ Selangor through the MySejahtera application. Our job is to help them getting the Covid-19 vaccinations with ease,” added Farahiyah.
They also said that they are willing to help any need with regard to vaccine arrangements in other care centres such as nursing homes for the elderly.
“These patients are a priority here as they are a high-risk group aged 60 and above and have a lot of health problems. This group needs to be prioritised to get their Covid-19 vaccines,” she added.
