Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub was admitted to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah yesterday (21 July) after experiencing nausea and vomiting.
There, a specialist doctor found that the KPDN Minister is suffering from a brain haemorrhage and was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for further monitoring.
In a statement by his press secretary Syakirin Husnal, Salahuddin was admitted to the ICU at around 10.50pm yesterday. Afterwards, at around 3.30am this morning, he was brought to the operating room for surgery.
Today, BERNAMA reported that the KPDN Minister had undergone successful surgery, as confirmed by Amanah vice-president Datuk Mahfuz Omar who asserted,
“The minister had a successful surgery this morning. He was admitted to the operating room at about 3.30 am from the emergency ward.
“I am not sure how long the surgery lasted but I was informed that the surgery was successful by his bodyguard at about 8 am,”
Let’s hope that Salahuddin has a speedy recovery and that no further complications arise from the condition.
Get well soon Datuk Seri! ?
