The rubber glove manufacturers said another 7,000 employees were screened for Covid-19 after a statement was released following the detection of 427 positive cases at the premises of one of its plants on 16 December, as reported by Bernama.

Employees in the affected premises have since been sent for re-screening. “Arising from the subsequent screening, an additional 563 positive cases were detected as at 21 December 2020. Due to the continuous efforts in mitigating, containment, and prevention of the widespread pandemic, the affected plant premises will remain closed until 30 December 2020,” said the statement.
