Whether you’re a teacher or a student, online learning hasn’t been easy on everyone. Teachers have been going out of their way to make learning more enjoyable so that their students don’t miss school too much.

Among all these dedicated teachers, these preschool teachers from Johor Bahru showed the love for their students in the most adorable way! Students of Tadika Khalifah Elit had a drive-thru graduation ceremony as a risk free way to celebrate their achievements but in a pandemic friendly manner.

Twitter user @Almazingg whose mother is a teacher at the preschool spoke to World of Buzz saying that the children inspired them for this graduation as the pandemic didn’t allow them to do their annual concert. The children did not get the send-off they deserved thus they carried out the drive-thru graduation after coming across a highschool in America that had a similar event.

What’s more heartwarming was that the parents were more excited than the kids. Since the preschool has four classes, they had two sessions in the morning and two sessions in the afternoon. The parents were disciplined and came at the allotted time where the teachers spent five to seven minutes with each student.

“They were all sad that we could not have our yearly concert but when we told them that we will have this event instead they all supported the idea and when the day came they decorated their vehicles with balloons and pictures of the graduate.”

The parents were all happy and elated that their children could spend the end of their kindergarten days memorably. One teacher wins the prize for us when she decorated her car with a car-size mortar board ensemble.

We asked how have the teachers been coping with online learning especially with small kids who don’t have the attention span to stare at a computer screen for hours. “It’s been challenging but we do what we can to make online learning as fun as possible for the children,” she said.

Kudos to the teachers of Tadika Khalifah Elit for not letting the pandemic affect their celebrations and also celebrating in a safe manner. When the kids get older, this will be definitely be a story they can show-off to their friends.
