With the Covid-19 outbreak getting more and more serious each day, the Ministry of Health has banned all mass gatherings which includes any gathering more than 50 people. The Restricted Movement Control Order period (18th March till 31st March) even restricts people from having and attending funerals and weddings. Despite this pandemic, this couple managed to find a way to have their day while still being mindful of the outbreak.

This couple had a Covid-19 friendly wedding on the 16th of March which reduced contact between guests and even had an extremely creative Drive-Thru option!

The wedding was Covid-19 friendly in these ways:

  1. Using the designated hand signal where you place your hand on your chest as a sign of respect instead of shaking hands                                                                                                                                    Salamcovid 1
  2. They had a donation box instead of the usual passing of wedding money      Wedding2
  3. The wedding party gave the food in packeted forms to their guests                  Wedding3
  4. Guests collect their food from their cars and use the hand signal as a sign of gratitude

Kudos to the couple for managing to have their wedding be “pandemic-friendly” and extremely considerate to their guests. But remember there are no more mass gatherings until the 31st of March so STAY AT HOME y’all!
