In recent times, the extension of kindness towards stray animals has been a recurring theme spread across social media. And while there may be no shortage of doing good for the sake of it, going the extra mile to ensure that one precious life doesn’t get left behind is truly a noble deed.
A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after a café owner named Rudicks Hartonoo shared how he established a sincere and touching bond with a stray dog who comes to his house daily. In a clip posted to his page @rudickshartonoo, Rudicks captured a moment where he set some food down for the stray, whom he affectionately named Blacky.
Resembling his namesake, the dog, who is a mixed breed and the darkest of ebony in shade, wagged his tale as Rudicks provided him with some food.
“It’s a routine every time I come home from work. It’s already 1am. Blacky, I couldn’t go to bed when you kept barking and asking me for food. Give me some time to buy you proper food. For now, eat what I have,” he wrote in a caption across the screen.
Laying a blanket down for Blacky in the porch of his house, Rudicks left his front gate open to allow the animal to sleep in the shade, protecting him from the elements. Appreciating the man’s efforts, Blacky wagged his tale in gratitude as Rudicks places a bowl of water by the gate for the pup to drink throughout the night.
“Hope you sleep well tonight, Blacky,” wrote Rudicks at the end of his video.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rudicks said that he randomly met Blacky on a rainy day, when he allowed the dog to sit on the porch of his home during the storm. Since then, Rudicks added that Blacky has been coming to his house every day, with him initially giving the dog rice, as it was all he had.
“After I posted about Blacky online, so many people donated food and medicine for him. So every night when I come home, I will give it to him. He wags his tale and chases my car when I come home, because he knows he will finally receive nourishment,” said Rudicks to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Receiving a significant amount of praise online, many people sent well wishes and thanks to Rudicks for his continuous acts of kindness towards Blacky, providing a home to a creature that would otherwise be subjected to potential harm.
“God bless you brother. May your pocket never run out of money. More happiness to you and your family,” wrote one user in the comments section.

In a final comment, Rudicks hopes that his videos of Blacky will encourage all Malaysians, no matter their religious or personal belief, to show kindness to all stray dogs they may come across.
