KFC Malaysia is stepping up and taking the initiative to allocate RM100,000 in aid to support victims affected by the recent floods across the country.
QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), the company behind KFC Malaysia, shared on Facebook that the initiative will provide immediate food assistance.
“It’s our duty to stand by those who are suffering”
The post shared that over 6,000 KFC meals have been sent to residents in temporary evacuation centres (PPS) and flood victims’ homes.
“In partnership with NADMA and the Malaysian Red Crescent, over 6,000 KFC meals are delivered to evacuation centres in the hardest-hit areas.”
They also mentioned in their statement that the Malaysian Red Crescent is supporting this effort by providing on-the-ground help, including medical services, emergency shelter, and essential supplies to those in need.
Nehchal Khanna, CEO and Managing Director of QSR Brands, said the Add Hope initiative will focus on the areas most affected by the floods, especially Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Johor.
“We believe it’s our responsibility to stand with those who are suffering during a crisis. Our RM100,000 food aid is one step towards easing the burden on flood victims,” he said.
“We’ll ensure the aid gets to those who need it most”
QSR Brands’ Chief Communications Officer, Anis Yusof, handed over a donation cheque to the Deputy Director-General of NADMA, Hussain Moh, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Datuk Danial Iskandar Abdul Rahman.
At the event, Anis shared that Add Hope Malaysia is still committed to supporting communities in need and promised to keep helping those affected by natural disasters across Malaysia, strengthening its mission to rebuild lives and bring hope during tough times.
“We’ll keep working closely with NADMA and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society to make a bigger impact and ensure the aid gets to those who need it most.”
