A domestic disagreement between two housemates in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong, took a tragic turn when one of them was fatally stabbed, allegedly over a fight about a messy room.

According to Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, the two men who are both originally from Kelantan had been sharing the residence for about six months after relocating.

“Preliminary findings suggest the altercation stemmed from frustrations over the state of cleanliness in their shared living space,” he said.

The confrontation escalated, resulting in the 33-year-old victim being stabbed to death with a knife, allegedly by his 40-year-old housemate.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect tested positive for drugs during a urine screening. He is currently in police custody and has been remanded for six days, until July 1, as authorities pursue a murder investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The victim was discovered with a fatal chest wound, believed to have been inflicted during the heated dispute.
