An eatery in Sungai Petani, Kedah, is calling out a couple for causing damages to their furniture and tableware during a heated argument and then walking away without so much as a ‘sorry’.

The restaurant, 食面霸坊 Mee8cafe, took to the 我是SP 人 Facebook page to urge the couple to return to their store to compensate them, after the male counterpart had overturned a table at their outlet during a dispute with his partner, causing the glass tabletop, bowls and more to break.

They wrote, “Our noodle house is a restaurant, not a boxing ring. A couple destroyed our tables, chairs, dishes and bowls in the name of ‘love’, leaving behind not romance but a mess on the floor.”

When the incident happened, a disabled man and his family were sitting right behind the couple, leaving them startled by the scene.

“Amid the devastation, we saw more helplessness: a disabled person and his child, who were frightened and at a loss in the face of the sudden chaos.”

It also appears that the woman was left injured, as a red liquid could be seen streaming down her arm as she walked out of the restaurant.

The couple simply walked away

Considering that the couple has walked away without looking back at the damages they caused, the restaurant hopes they will return and make things right.

“Damages can be repaired, but the hurt of the soul requires an apology and some responsibility. We always believe that everyone has a conscience,”

“We hope that the couple who caused the chaos and damages in the restaurant last night (January 21) will come back and compensate us based on their own initiative. Cleaning up the mess is not the end but the beginning of a new sense of responsibility. We sincerely hope that the perpetrators will come back and make amends for their mistakes,” the eatery added.
