It’s no secret that Malaysians are hardcore football fans of a variety of clubs.

One foreign football team is now using TikTok’s geotargeting feature to show love and attract Malaysian fans to their page!

Italian professional Serie A football club, Juventus F.C. recently took to their TikTok page to showcase 2 videos using Malaysian songs!

In the first video, the team used Zubir Khan’s (a Malay musician who makes Tamil songs) ‘Yennode Macha’ (which translates to My Brother or Friend) to showcase the goofy friendship between the Juventus players as they danced to the song.

“Macha! Kita kan brothers! (Macha! We are indeed brothers!),” they captioned the video.

In the second video, the team used ‘Bae Soba Bae’, a Kelantanese dialect song that went viral during the recent Hari Raya celebrations, to highlight their gameplay and goal during a match.

“Why are male Juventus supporters loyal people? No matter what happens, Juventus will forever be in our hearts. Don’t worry, admin is a loyal person. 143 Juventus forever,” they wrote in Malay.

In both videos, they also including #JuventusMalaysia.

While many questioned if the admin of Juventus’s page is Malaysian, they could very much just be using TikTok’s geotargeting feature to connect with their Malaysian fans.

Though, one thing is for sure. Their ‘Malaysian’ videos are highly entertaining!
