Residents in Klang, Shah Alam and Petaling regions will be facing an unscheduled water disruption to make way for emergency repairs after Air Selangor announced that the main pipe located at the Tengku Ampuan Promenade Circle in Section 15, Shah Alam had broken.

To ensure that the repairs run smoothly, water supply will be disrupted in 58 areas in the Klang/Shah Alam region and 72 areas in the Petaling Region starting at 1pm today (29 December).

Air Selangor said that the repairs is expected to be fully completed by 9pm on the same day and water supply will then be resumed. However, the restoration of water supply varies from one area to another, depending on the location.

“The period of restoration of water supply to consumers varies from one area to another depending on the location and distance of the consumer premises,” Air Selangor said in a statement.

“Consumers are advised to keep adequate water supply before closing the water supply and use water prudently during this unscheduled water supply disruption period.”
