Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has agreed to reconvene parliament before 1 August.
In a statement, Law Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Bin Hassan said that the Federal Government has always upheld the views of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in all matters related to the governance of the country, including Parliamentary sittings.
He added that this matter will be finalised in a Cabinet Meeting on 7 July.
Previously on 16 June, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Conference of Rulers held a special meeting to discuss pressing national matters after the Agong met with various political leaders.
Following that, the Agong and Conference of Rulers each released two separate statements highlighting several issues, including the need for Parliament to reconvene as soon as possible.
