Malaysia has recorded an added 172 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,796 as of 25th March.

According to the Ministry of Health of those 172 cases, 71 were from the tabligh cluster while the remaining cases are still undergoing investigation as to where they contracted the virus from.

45 patients are reported to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) including 34 patients who require breathing assistance. The country also recorded its 17th death earlier this afternoon (25th March). The patient is a 66-year-old citizen who has a background of several chronic diseases.
