Festive seasons sometimes mean free tolls for road users but for the 1st time ever, Malaysians will have the luxury of enjoying free tolls again in conjunction with the Christmas celebration!
Malaysian road users will be exempted from paying tolls for 2 days – December 23rd and December 26th. The toll exemption will begin on December 23rd at 12:01 am, and once again at the same time on December 26th. The matter was announced by the Deputy Minister of Works, Dato Seri Ahmad Maslan today (December 21), reported Sin Chew Daily.
All toll plazas nationwide are involved with the exemptions except for 2 tolls,
- The toll plaza in the Johor Sultan Iskandar building
- Tanjung Kupang toll plaza
Christmas Day is coming next Monday (December 25) and since it’s a long weekend, the traffic on highways connecting to other states is expected to be congested. To those who will be travelling interstate, do plan your journey and drive safely!
