Well, in response to that, Jaya Grocer has implemented an elderly and vulnerable (includes pregnant women) time slot for them to do their shopping. In a statement by Jaya Grocer, they say:

“We are introducing special opening hours from 9.30am to 10am at participating outlets for elderly customers (60s and above) & their caretakers.

This initiative is to ensure those in need can shop for their daily needs in a safe & worry-free environment.”

Last night, our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has addressed the nation regarding the Covid-19 spike and from there, he has put in place a Restricted Movement Order for the whole of Malaysia.

The Prime Minister has assured Malaysians that the food supplies, daily needs and also medical supplies are sufficient. During the Restricted Movement Order, Malaysians are allowed to go out grocery shopping so there is absolutely no need to panic buy.

This is definitely a very good course of action to take on Jaya Grocer’s part! We hope that all Malaysians will abide by the guidelines given by the government to help curb the spread of Covid-19. If you are unclear about the order then you can call the hotline @ 03-88882010.
