With the “Turun Anwar” Rally scheduled for this Saturday (July 26), PAS has reminded everyone to attend the event, out of religious and moral responsibility.
The Central PAS Ulema Council (DUPP) has invoked a sense of “moral and religious responsibility” in calling on the public to join a rally at Merdeka Square this weekend, aimed at demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
“DUPP emphasizes that it is the moral and religious responsibility of every citizen to speak the truth in the face of an oppressive government.”

In a statement posted on Facebook this morning (July 22), the chief of DUPP, Dato’ Ustaz Haji Ahmad Bin Yahya, called on everyone, regardless of background, to take to the streets peacefully and in a disciplined manner this Saturday. He added that this is the time for us to state our stance, for the sake of the dignity of the country and future generations.
“This gathering is the manifestation of people’s anger towards the sweet promises that the Madani government made in the past, which have turned into the sufferings of the people today,” Ahmad said in the statement.

Ahmad, who is also the Pokok Sena MP, said Anwar needed to step down because he has failed to fulfil his promises, drive the economy, and stabilise the country’s administration.
“Madani government is like a bus that is driven recklessly, exposing the people to the danger of accidents.”
“The people can no longer remain silent as this country continues to be led by drivers who have lost their way.”
Despite multiple calls for him to step down, PMX recently insisted that he would not do so because he had not stolen from the people.

Regardless, the rally is expected to start at 2 PM this Saturday, with over 2,000 PDRM officers who will be deployed to the scene to maintain the safety and harmony of the event.
