Mastering a foreign language can be challenging, but it also comes with its perks! Whether it’s for a job, or simply just to converse with friends from different races, the ability to communicate effectively in another language opens up new opportunities for cultural exchange and personal growth.

In a recent post circulating all over social media, a teacher has amazed everyone with his ability to speak 6 languages.

The teacher impressively speaks 6 languages

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rusyafiq, also known as @cikgucapikkk, shared that he currently teaches English at SMK Segambut Jaya in Kuala Lumpur.

He revealed his ability to speak 6 languages but noted that he’s still in the learning phase and hasn’t fully mastered some of them.

“I will list the languages from most fluent to least: Bahasa Melayu, English, Mandarin, Thai, Arabic, and Tamil.”

Perks of being multilingual!

Rusyafiq explained that his fascination with learning foreign languages started from a deep-seated interest. He admitted feeling a bit jealous of other races who could speak Malay fluently, which pushed him to improve.

The 27-year-old pointed out that, for him, it’s not crucial to become fluent in many languages. However, he emphasised that the benefits and rewards of learning new languages are simply indescribable.

“Learning another language is like possessing a second soul”

Rusyafiq explained that reaching his current level required him to gather the courage to practice in front of the public, which he found to be quite challenging.

“The rest is more about self-satisfaction when I can confidently and fluently use foreign languages. It feels like I’m possessing a second soul.”

He then encourages everyone out there to take up the challenge as he finds it worthwhile. He also added,

“I have been through a lot to reach this far. What I can say, there will be criticism and jealousy upon what we are doing but they don’t really understand why people are learning new languages.”

Mastering a new language requires dedication and effort, but if you’re someone who enjoys challenges, it’s definitely worth giving it a shot!
