Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s schedule has mostly been packed since he assumed office, but this time, he has no choice but to pause momentarily.
In an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office this morning (2 November), PMX cancelled his work trip to Pahang, which had been scheduled for today. The decision followed a medical check-up for back pain, which has limited his mobility.

“The doctor has advised the Prime Minister to get sufficient rest. He sincerely apologises to everyone, especially the people of Pahang who had made preparations to welcome him to the state.”
Recently, PMX shared moments from the 47th ASEAN Summit, which Malaysia hosted this year in Kuala Lumpur. During the three-day event, Anwar met with world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, who also witnessed the signing of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord, a historic agreement that ended the long-standing conflict between Thailand and Cambodia.

Following the conclusion of the summit, PMX posted an image of himself resting in his car, captioned with a simple full stop, symbolising the end of the three-day ASEAN Summit. Shortly after, Anwar flew to South Korea.
We wish the Prime Minister a speedy recovery.
