A recent video making the rounds online shows two men boldly attending a wedding they randomly stumbled upon in Sungai Dioh, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, without knowing anyone there.
In the TikTok video, user thedavids21 (Devaraj David) is seen nervously standing at the entrance before he and his brother (Devadass David) muster the courage to walk in. They were soon greeted by a man who warmly welcomed them, even after they admitted they didn’t know anyone at the event.

“I thought we were going to get beaten up”
While the two brothers were seated, a woman approached and asked if they knew anyone at the event. Devaraj replied,
“We actually don’t know anyone here. We were on our way to Seremban and happened to come across the wedding celebration.”

She later asked why they weren’t eating, to which one of them jokingly said that after receiving such a warm welcome, they already felt full.
To their surprise, many guests at the wedding warmly encouraged them to eat.
“I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to eat. I thought we were going to get beaten up, but everyone welcomed us, so that is Malaysia,” Devaraj added.

Before leaving the event, the two managed to meet the newlyweds to pay their respects and even took the opportunity to request a Tamil song to be played in their honour.
“The song dedicated to the couple was a blessing for them, wishing them a hundred years of happiness. We came uninvited, but we left with full hearts, feeling loved, and like part of the family.”
As of the time of writing, their wholeome TikTok video has received nearly 85,000 likes and been played over 1.3 million times.

“Gothrough Sajalah!”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Devaraj opened up about the experience, admitting how nervous they were, especially walking into a stranger’s home during one of their most intimate family celebrations.
“I did something I’ve never done before, I crashed a Malay wedding. No invitation, no prior connection, nothing. Just me walking in with a nervous heart. It was a childhood dream of mine which is to witness the joy and unity of a traditional wedding, even if it wasn’t from my own culture.”
He went on to share how the experience shattered his fears and challenged every stereotype he once held, making him feel truly welcomed.
“That moment broke every stereotype and fear I had. They didn’t see me as an outsider, I felt like I belonged. I do these kinds of wild things because I believe in living for today. My message is simple: Live like it’s your first day at work and your last day on earth. Embrace the moment, because you never know what tomorrow holds. Gothrough Sajalah.”
Several wedding guests, including the bride herself, took to the comments section to share their reactions.

“Thank you, guys. You’re the best and so entertaining.”

“Hi, thank you for coming to my family’s wedding. I saw you but wasn’t sure who you were, only after you left did others tell me you were The Davids.”
Meanwhile, other netizens also chimed in with their thoughts on the video.

“Good job. Before entering, you asked the host for permission first. That’s true Malaysian manners. Well done, boss.”

“Much respect to you, bro, for being honest and asking the host’s permission first. Manners always come first. Well done, The Davids.”

“We Malays, Chinese, and Indians are all one family. We must be tolerant and respectful toward one another.”
