One of the victims of the Thailand mall shooting was a two-year-old boy who was shot in the head by the gunman who entered the mall to rob a gold shop, reported Bangkok Post.
The toddler was holding his mother’s hand while walking past the shop when the tragedy happened. Photos on social media show him lying on a stretcher before he was brought to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
Following the horrible incident, the mother posted a heartbreaking tribute of her child on her Facebook account.
The mother, I’wi Wilaiwan Triton, said that she never thought this kind of event would happen to her and apologised for not being able to protect her child.
She expressed her hope that her son would not be born with this kind of fate in his next life.
“Dad and mom love you very much,” she wrote.
“Sleep well, my little angel.”
Along with the post, she shared a few photos of her family on their various outings to the park and aquarium.
Her post has since garnered 206,000 reacts and 104,000 shares.
