In the last few months, Indonesian influencer Mondy Tatto was in the spotlight when she appeared in a famous preacher’s video. It created a lot of buzz on social media and things died down after a while.
On 15 September, Malaysian artist Caprice invited Mondy Tatto to appear in his podcast and in the 27-minute-long video, she talked a little about how a famous preacher in Malaysia was touching her hand and her cheeks.
“He brought me to Malaysia (from Indonesia) on the same day that we met.”
However, when asked about what happened after she landed in Kuala Lumpur, Mondy said both of them were in the car along with a driver.
“I am not anyone to him but he touched and held my hands. I took my hand back and told him that it was not a good thing to do but he asked me to be quiet as there’s someone else there.”
It is said that another incident happened when they were in a room with each other; the preacher had pulled up his jubah, closed the curtains and was leaning his face towards hers when suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
It turned out to be the driver and when asked about why the curtain was closed, the preacher said that Mondy was sensitive to light.
According to mStar, Caprice’s team had already lodged a police report, collected the proof and sent it to them, sent Mondy for a psychiatric assessment at the hospital and asked for consent from victims, all prior to the podcast being uploaded.
