Illegal photographers around KLCC have become a nuisance in recent times by offering ‘paid’ photography, harassing others from taking pictures using their own devices and, even worse, scamming visitors into accepting their service.

In this video, an illegal photographer disturbed another visitor who wanted to take a video of KLCC upon their arrival at the famous site.

“1..2..3..we are now at KLCC. You can see KLCC from here,” they said.

In the video, the illegal photographer began giving the makcik a bombastic side-eye, apparently perturbed by her action recording KLCC.

The photographer, who appeared furious, urged the makcik to stop recording because he thought they were recording him.

“Why did you take my video?”

The makcik simply brushed him off and said, “Hey, I was taking a video of KLCC, not you.”

Netizens commenting on the video also shared their distaste for the fake photographers circling the area.

One user commented, “I lost good money on them. They wanted to take a picture and I paid them RM10 for it. The picture was bad and when officials arrive to reprimand them, they would run off.”

“They are immigrants who pass off as Sabahans. They really should have no place there.”

Let’s hope that the authorities will take stern action against these people, as they give our nation’s landmark a bad name.
