With the cost of living going up and our salaries remaining the same, it is harder to live nowadays.
As a fellow Malaysian who doesn’t want to see anyone suffering due to hunger, Ian Zainal, 38, a food stall owner and a freelance wedding photographer, has posted on his Twitter account about how he will give food to those in need.
“With the terrible economy now, if you guys have no money to eat, you all can come to my shop, and I will give you chicken porridge. My shop is in Bandar Sri Permaisuri (area Stadium Cheras). Don’t be shy; I am open from 12pm to 4pm every day except Sunday.”
He continues by saying that all he can give is the chicken porridge he is selling.
“I will help as much as I can. If you have friends who need this, send them our way.”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ian said that the inspiration behind this is that he wanted to help those in need.
“The price of everything has gone up, and I’m doing this to help anyone in need.”
Many netizens in the thread have asked how they can help, and Ian says that if they want to contribute, they can DM him personally. The 38-year-old has also said that sharing his tweet is already a way of helping out.
Lastly, Ian hopes that many more food stall operators will do the same thing: help those in need.
“While the others pressure the Government to lower the price of daily items, food stall owners can help to alleviate the burden of the others.”
This is undoubtedly a noble act by Ian! If you want to help this cause, you can DM Ian here. If you want to lend a helping hand but can’t contribute financially, you can help share Ian’s tweet and this article.
