“I love Kuching”- K-pop Superstar Rain On His First Visit To S’wak, Says He Loves Laksa Too

Many international acts are coming into our country for concerts, brand endorsements, film festivals et cetera.

One of the bigger acts that came into the country this past week is certainly South Korean singer-songwriter and actor Rain who is also known as Jung Ji Hoon.

The 41-year-old actor is in town for the Asean International Film Festival & Awards (AIFFA) that’s being held in Kuching, Sarawak this year.

Other than that, he also made an appearance at the Old Court House in Kuching town on 4 August.

There, he was surrounded by swarms of fans who gathered to catch a glimpse of him and he said that he loves Kuching.

“This is my first time (here). I really love Kuching, it’s like heaven: there are delicious food and it’s a beautiful city. I love Kuching.”

The K-pop star also revealed that he really likes laksa.

“My favourite is laksa. Last night I had laksa and uhm… dim sum?”

When asked about local words that he has learnt, Rain tried his best to recall them.

“Apa khabar? Saya- sa- How do you say I love you? Saya sayang kamu.”

As for the finishing words, he chose to express them in his native language Korean and it was translated by an on-site translator.
