The Malaysian cross-dresser who “trespassed” into the female washroom has apologised for his behaviour and said he did not mean to break any laws.
In a Facebook video this noon (May 19), Deacon Chai said his intention was merely to entertain the public, similar to another cross-dresser, Bryan Wee, who also recorded himself in the female washroom recently.

Deacon recently found himself under fire for laughing at former Prime Minister Pak Lah’s death, to which he had also extended his apology.
Deacon also tearfully said that despite the lack of response to the matter, he has been having trouble sleeping and eating, and explained that the viral video showing him entering the female washroom took place 3 years ago in 2022, when he was filming a CNY video with Bryan and another internet celebrity.

Deacon added that back then, he was still immature. However, he is willing to face the legal actions for his actions in the past.
Bryan, on the other hand, had not issued any apology for the matter.
Deacon also acknowledged that some of his content may have impacted the younger generations negatively, but said that he is more than willing to learn from his mistakes.
“I hope the public can give me some time to learn and identify what we can improve in our content.”
“I’m also learning and I understand that by entering the female washroom, it has raised concerns about the safety amongst women.”

Deacon added that he will not evade responsibilities and blame someone else if he has to face legal actions, saying that he hopes the public will accept his apology.
Recently, a Malaysian lawyer said both cross-dressers are facing a prison term of up to 5 years and a fine for public indecency. In 2022, Bryan and Deacon were arrested by PDRM in Johor for public indecency and issued a public apology following their release.
