“I dare you!” – Dr Akmal Challenges DAP MP Who Criticised MCA to ‘Eliminate’ BN from MADANI Govt

DAP National Vice Chairman and Member of Parliament (MP) for Bangi, Syahredzan Johan, recently suggested that the MCA leave the Unity Government.

Syahredzan made the statement recently due to the actions of MCA leaders, especially President Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong, who continue to attack the Madani Government with “incorrect and half-baked facts”.

The latest, he said, concerns the dispute over the regulation abolishing subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, which was made during the previous government’s administration, in which Ka Siong was one of the ministers in the Cabinet.

In his Facebook post yesterday (June 1), Syahredzan said that if MCA keeps attacking the MADANI Government with “half-truths” and wrong facts, it is clear that MCA is not aligned with the government anymore.

“If that’s the case, it’s best for the MCA to quit the unity government.”

UMNO Youth Chief, Dr Akmal Saleh, is not happy with Syahredzan’s statement, and he came up with a challenge for the Bangi MP.

In his Facebook post last night, Akmal said that MCA is a part of Barisan Nasional (BN), and if MCA has to leave the government, here’s what Akmal suggested Syahredzan do.

“Propose and ask the government to eliminate BN from the unity government, I dare you!”

“When others are pointing out your flaws, you respond arrogantly. I’ll be waiting to see if you dare accept my challenge.”

It didn’t take long for Syahredzan to respond to Akmal, and in his Facebook post, the Bangi MP said he was merely calling out MCA for giving inaccurate facts, and that he bears no grudge against UMNO.

“Come to Bangi and talk to the UMNO members here. You’ll know that DAP and UMNO in Bangi have a good working relationship. I’ll be waiting.”
