A Malaysian woman was caught leading a double life after her husband discovered wedding papers showing she had married another man in Songkhla, Thailand.
For a year, the woman reportedly spent her days with her second husband at his rented house before returning home to her first husband at night. The revelation was made by the first husband’s sister, who shared the story in a viral Facebook post.
But here’s another twist:
The first husband claimed he had divorced his wife nearly four years ago
According to Sinar Harian, the man filed for divorce on 15 January 2022, but the divorce was never reported to the Islamic Religious Office. Not only that, his family was also unaware of the divorce.
“I apologise to my family members and all parties involved for causing this confusion.”
Wedding documents found in the woman’s car revealed she married a man from Johor in November 2024 in Songkhla, Thailand. Her sister-in-law further alleged that after spending time with her second husband, the woman would return home at night, even though his rented residence was only 19 kilometres from her first husband’s house.
The secret of her double life came to light on 6 December this year, after the sister-in-law, who wishes to be identified only as Nur, checked the second husband’s house in the presence of police officers.
