The Perlis State Government has announced a one-off payment of RM1,500 for all civil servants under the 2026 Special Aidilfitri Financial Assistance (BKKA). This payout applies to those with permanent, contract, or temporary status, as well as those under the Malaysia Short-Term Employment Programme (MySTEP).

According to a Facebook post by the Perlis Menteri Besar, Abu Bakar Hamzah, this special assistance will be disbursed on Friday (13 March).

“The Perlis State Government announced the 2026 Special Aidilfitri Financial Assistance for civil servants as a token of appreciation for their Hari Raya preparations,” he said.

The Menteri Besar shared these details during the Perlis State Government Administration Monthly Meeting.

Support for the underprivileged

In addition to the BKKA for civil servants, Abu Bakar Hamzah announced that the state government will provide special assistance to 15,000 underprivileged residents across the 15 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituencies in Perlis.

“At the same time, Aidilfitri contributions will be given to 15,000 Perlis citizens from vulnerable groups, including single mothers, orphans, people with disabilities, senior citizens, and asnaf, to ease their financial burden and brighten their Aidilfitri celebrations,” he stated.
