On 29th October, police from and Ruam Katanyu Rescue services in Bangkok rushed to a hotel when the hotel staff horrifyingly discovered a ‘corpse’ at the side of a bed.

When they arrived, the police did indeed find a corpse-like bundle of cloth with blood stains next to the bed and went to investigate it while the maids quivered in fear outside.

However, upon disassembling the ‘corpse’, the police found that there was no dead body inside, just pillows, bed sheets and towels soaked in blood. Must’ve been a horrifying sight, nonetheless!

According to Daily News, when the maids entered the room to clean it, they found that the bed was empty with no pillows and bed sheets. They walked around the bed and found the bloody bundle of cloth before calling the police.

After inquiring further, the hotel staff said that a man and a woman had checked into the hotel at 1am that day, requesting for a temporary room. However, they checked out an hour later at 2am for reasons unknown.

Later, police suspected that the couple had planned to use the room for intimate reasons, but because the woman had her period and stained the sheets and towels, they were afraid that the hotel would come after them.

So, they wrapped up all the hotel linen, including the bed sheets, blankets and towels, and left it at the side of the bed before leaving the hotel.

It’s not known if they had intentionally wrapped up the linen to resemble a dead body, but it sure freaked the hell out of the maids!
