The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is currently searching for a man suspected of damaging a car’s side mirror in Cheras. The investigation was launched after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Cheras District Police Chief ACP Mohd Rosdi Daud confirmed that police received a report of the incident at around 8:40 PM yesterday (10 March).

The investigation follows a video uploaded to TikTok by the account @cyberjayaviral, which depicts a man breaking the side mirror of a parked vehicle.
Incident caught on camera
The footage shows the suspect driving a Honda HR-V. He is seen pulling over and exiting his vehicle before smashing the side mirror of a nearby car and promptly driving away from the scene.
In an official statement, as reported by Berita Harian, Mohd Rosdi confirmed the case is being investigated under these legal provisions:
- Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief causing damage
- Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation
- Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities

The authorities are identifying and tracking down the suspect
Police are actively working to identify both the suspect and the owner of the damaged vehicle. Furthermore, authorities are coordinating with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to trace the TikTok account owner to assist with enquiries.
The PDRM has urged members of the public with any relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
