Though the Malaysian football team is far from reaching the World Cup any time soon, this did not stop some fans from dreaming that our team will eventually reach the world’s biggest stage.
Wanting to have some fun and take the mickey out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Draw, a viral video that was edited by TikTok user witnessed Malaysia placed side by side with world beaters.

With the words “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry”. the video ends with Malaysia grouped with Brazil, Argentina and Portugal, all of who are filled with world class players and superstars.
Commenting on the video, Malaysian football fans remain hopeful, wishing that one day the video may come true.
One netizen commented, “Though I may not be a die hard football, it will be great pride to me if Malaysia were to make it to the World Cup.”
Well, dreams are indeed free, and to see Malaysian fans hopeful that the national football team will make it to the World Cup speaks volumes at how big our dreams are when it comes to football.
