United States (US) President Donald Trump happily made his iconic ‘YMCA’ dance moves when greeted by the performers upon landing in Malaysia yesterday (26 October).
However, former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin doesn’t think Trump’s dance moves were appropriate when he was welcomed for the 47th ASEAN summit.

“Don’t forget what he was partially responsible for”
In his Instagram story, Khairy also commented on the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft escort, saying both the presence of the fighter aircraft and Trump’s dance moves were over the top and unnecessary.
Khairy also reminded Malaysians about the genocide in Palestine, in which he claimed the US President was partly responsible for.
“Let’s remember that we just witnessed a genocide that this man was partially responsible for.”
In the meantime, the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) Youth Chief, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, also responded to Trump’s dance moves, calling it “embarrassing” on his Facebook post.

“Hold my Teh O’ Ais”
In case you think Khairy doesn’t know much about the protocols in welcoming the US President, in another Instagram story, he showed that he was there, up close and personal with Barack Obama, the former US President, when he made his visit to Malaysia in 2014.
“And before you slam me, thinking that I do not know anything about the protocol, hold my Teh O’ Ais,” Khairy said by attaching a picture of him with the former US President.

After a one-day ASEAN visit, Trump left for Japan this morning (27 October) on the second leg of his Asian tour. He is expected to visit South Korea after Japan as his last stop before finally returning to the United States of America.
