Buying and entering a new house is always exciting! Becoming a new property owner is definitely one of life’s greatest achievements.

But what do you do when you enter a new house? Before you start moving furniture in or maybe bless your home with the presence of God and ensure that no bad spirits are around, here are some useful tips that you can use to ensure that your house is in tip-top condition.

According to @top_haus_home, the first step that you can do is to identify defects and get the developer to fix it!

Things like loose discharge pipes, missing screws, default plumbing, leakages, faulty electrical sockets are just some of the many issues that may plague your home.

According to the tweet, “Most homeowners are only able to spot 10-30% of home defects that are hidden and concealed by the contractors.”

They add that should you find any defect to your home, your newly bought house is still under the Defect Liability Period (DLP) which obliges developers to fix all defects for FREE!
