The Malaysia-Singapore border, linked by two land crossings (the Causeway and Second Link), is one of the busiest land borders in the world with over 450,000 people going through it every day.
Recently, a video that took place at the Woodlands Checkpoint there went viral, depicting two men fighting and hitting each other with their helmets.
The video, shared by user Hiduo Sementara in the Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers(MSBC) 马新过境者 Facebook group has garnered over 9,400 views and more than 1,100 reactions as of the time of writing.
The 10-second-long video didn’t give many contexts behind the fight but went straight into the action with an individual wearing a dark blue jacket throwing his red-coloured helmet at a long-haired man wearing a light blue shirt.
The man in the dark blue jacket then hit the other person in the back of his head while he was on the ground, grabbed his red-coloured helmet and ran to his motorcycle.
The long-haired man then retaliates by chasing the man in the dark blue jacket to his motorcycle and hitting him with his grey-coloured helmet.
The “helmet fight” then continued with both throwing hits at each other. In the scuffle, the long-haired man accidentally dropped his helmet and wrestled the other individual while trying to grab his dark blue jacket over his head.
The video stopped there, with no mention of the aftermath or cause of the fight. Throughout the fight, the Woodlands checkpoint can be seen in the background with a sea of motorcyclists lining up to go through the border.
