For many people who are celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, there can be no denying that humility and compassion is just as much an ingrained part of the festivities as kuih raya and open houses are. Which is why one story that was recently viral over social media has left many Malaysian netizens truly touched.

Posted by netizen @IjamShahnon on Wednesday (20th May 2020) over Twitter, he shares his experience of working as a food delivery rider as Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches.

But while working to make his deliveries, he stumbled upon a customer who had slipped him a duit raya packet containing a tip, as well as a note within. While tipping your food delivery rider is not uncommon (and greatly appreciated!), what he found in his duit raya packet was truly unexpected.

Instead of RM5 or RM10, his customer had tipped him with a whopping RM50!

And to make this chance encounter all the more heartwarming, the note the customer left with him contained a small message, which read:

“Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2020.

“Please pray that I will be blessed with a child after waiting for 3 years. I pray for the safety of all riders, and hope that you will be protected by God’s will.”

In response to her kindness, he captions his Twitter post by hoping that his customer’s wish will come true, and that she will be blessed with a child.

The Twitter post, which has since gone viral, caught the attention of netizens all across Malaysia, many of whom took to praising the kindness of the customer while also hoping that her wishes to have a child will become reality.

Which really does come to show that you never know how your gesture of kindness may help brighten up someone else’s day, just as much as it will your own!
