Penang Immigration Arrests 3 Foreign Prostitutes in Anime Costumes, 1 Offered RM16K Bribe

Immigration in Penang recently arrested 3 foreign prostitutes in a hotel in the state, who were all dressed in anime costumes.

They were dressed as ballet dancers, office ladies, and nurses, respectively. According to a report by the Malaysian Gazette, one of them tried to bribe the officers with RM16,000 to avoid being caught while crying.

The director of the Immigration department in Penang said the arrested women were from Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam and aged between 25 and 29.

“Investigation shows they have been in the country for around 2 weeks, on vacation reasons. They charge customers RM240 for a session, and reservations were made online.”

The Immigration also did not deny the possibility that the women were being “watched” and “taken care of” by syndicates, and the clients consisted of VIPs.

“We also confiscated condoms, lubricants, cash, mobile phones and birth control pills.”

The arrested women were brought to the Immigration office, and the matter is being investigated under the Immigration Act 1959/63.

 

The authorities also said they will be actively monitoring illegal activities involving foreigners.
