Ever since Najib went into prison 3 weeks ago, his daughter, Yana has made sure that the public is well aware of his health condition, which has worsened over time due to the lack of proper medication and observation.
Just yesterday, Najib’s blood pressure allegedly rose as Yana said the medication that was prescribed before he returned to Kajang Prison was changed. Health Director-General, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah had something to say about it and he released a statement yesterday evening (September 12), which contradicted what Yana had said earlier.
Najib was healthy upon discharge
Last Friday (September 9), Najib was admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL). Screening and tests were conducted to ensure his health was in a good state. He was admitted to the hospital under an elective case, and not an emergency case.
The health screening and tests for Najib were handled by a panel of specialists and the hospital also had 2 family conferences which were attended by the former Prime Minister and his family members. The tests were also informed to the family members during the family conferences, including the decision to discharge Najib from HKL.
In terms of the prescribed medicines, Dr Noor Hisham clarified that no changes were made to the prescriptions.
“The medications that were prescribed during his admissions were similar to the ones in KKM’s list, and he was healthy upon discharge.”
At the end of the statement, Dr Noor Hisham said that the hospital is always ready to disclose the medical reports of a patient if the Court instructs them to do so.
