Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah is urging the public to stay home and only go out when in urgent need as the country is trying its best to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Sharing to his official Twitter and Facebook account, Dr Noor Hisham mentions that there are insufficient ICU beds to treat the Covid-19 patients. “Please stay home, because if you and your family are infected with Covid-19, we don’t have enough ICU beds,” he stated.
He also added that if you are forced to leave the house for crucial business, please remember to adhere to SOPs by the government, avoid the 3S (crowded place, confined place, close interactions) and practice 3W (wash, wear, warn).

“I plead to Malaysians to assist the Ministry of Health by imposing self-lockdown for the upcoming two weeks to stop the virus chain,” he added.
Other than that, Dr Noor Hisham also stated yesterday (12 June) that the next two weeks of extended lockdown period is very essential for the cases to be reduced back to 4,000. “Yet, it was found that there were still people who made movements and gatherings at homes such as holding parties, ceremonies and others, this is irresponsible,” he said.
Previously, the government has announced that the Full MCO will be extended for another two weeks from 15 June to 28 June 2021.
