Health D-G: 489 New Positive Cases & No Deaths Reported Today (7 October)

According to the Ministry of Health, there are 489 new cases in Malaysia today (7 October) as of 12pm, bringing the total number of cases to 13,993 cases. There are currently 3,351 active cases.

74 cases have been discharged today and the total number of patients discharged since February is 10,501 cases.

There are no death cases reported today bringing the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Malaysia to 141 cases. 40 patients are currently in the ICU while 13 of them are in need of breathing assistance.

These latest numbers should indicate that we need to accept the new normal by maintaining good hygiene and practising physical distancing at all times.
