People in the government can do no right these days. Under constant fire from weary Malaysians, opposition members have also begun to stand up and criticize the government for their inability to maintain order during the major floods.

Taking to Twitter, Hannah Yeoh were among those who were vocal towards the government’s inability to get his machinery in line and ensure a smooth relief process for flood victims.

In her tweet, she wrote: “Yesterday Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri responded to my tweet when I asked about relief funds for flood victims.”

“As usual, responses varied. Both NADMA and JPM gave different answers.”

In the initial image, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri mentioned that financial assistance will be provided to those who experience natural disasters, so long as they apply for the assistance.

However, NADMA gave a difference response altogether – that financial assistance will only be given on a one-off basis.

This angered Hannah Yeoh.

“I think it would be best if the Prime Minister can fact check first before issuing a response.”

Let’s hope that the mechanism in place will not deter people from getting the help they need!
