For orphaned children who wind up in foster homes, orphanages or worse still, on the streets, one of the happiest moments in life is to be adopted into a family and be brought into the fold of family life. As for parents of adopted children, most of them treat them as if they were their own kids, showering them with the love and affection they have been so cruelly denied of.

As such, you can imagine how some of these orphans grow up to achieve incredible things with the help of a proper family structure, as this heartwarming story from Sin Chew Daily goes to show.

Our story begins with Javi, a 28-year-old young man, who was unfortunately abandoned by his own biological parents in the Philippines at just the tender age of three. But luckily enough for him, a couple, who couldn’t bear the thought of such a young child being sent to an orphanage, adopted him.

Despite being from meager origins themselves, his adopted father, Tatai, who worked as a hotel porter, and his adoptive mother, Nanai, who worked as a street vendor, did their best to ensure that they could provide for Javi. The family lived in the squalor of a small 215 sqft apartment with 28 other tenants, and their apartment was often infested with rats and suffered power outages.

“Life was hard growing up. But as long as we could have two meals a day, we were happy.” Javi said.

Determined to lift his family out of poverty, Javi studied hard to gain entrance into college, before joining the insurance industry upon graduation. Working hard for seven years, he was then rewarded for his hard work with a promotion as branch manager.

With his new found financial stability, Javi did the one thing he had always wanted to do for his adopted parents, as a show of gratitude for raising him:

He built them a 3-storey, 7-bedroom luxury villa, so that they could retire there for the rest of their lives in comfort!

And the interior of the home looks just as stunning as the exterior, with open spaces and a contemporary design, truly fit for modern living. His story of gratitude and filial piety has since attracted plenty of attention over social media, with many netizens praising him for giving back to his parents, even if they weren’t blood-related.

Which comes to show that a parents’ love, whether biological or not, goes further than we can imagine! We salute Javi for the effort he has put into returning his adopted parents’ kindness, and hope that they will enjoy family live together in their incredible new home!
