So, it’s no secret that Malaysia and Singapore have their fair share of disagreements over who owns certain aspects of culture and food such as nasi lemak, cendol and yee sang.
But, we never thought that a place in Malaysia could be claimed as Singaporean.
If you were to Google search ‘the biggest city in Singapore‘, you’d be baffled to find that the result displayed is Johor Bahru.
Thankfully, in the description below the result, they clarified that Johor Bahru is indeed the ‘capital of the Malaysian state of Johor’.
“With a causeway across the Straits of Johor connecting it to Singapore, it’s a gateway for exploration of that island nation. On the Johor Bahru’s waterfront is Istana Besar, a royal palace built by Sultan Abu Bakar in 1866 that now houses the Royal Abu Bakar Museum,” they added.
Though, it seems that not everyone is seeing this result.
Well, one thing is for certain, Johor Bahru is definitely not Singapore’s biggest city.
