Although pets are part of our lives, most people often forget that for them, we are their entire life – which is why we should treat them better and love them more, especially when they are getting old.
Berry, an Alaskan Malamute from China is a very lucky dog with loving owners who arranged to give him the treat of his life.
10-year-old Berry was diagnosed with canine uveitis, an eye condition that may lead to glaucoma, which then will ultimately cause him to go blind.
While blindness is a very sad prognosis, it is even more so in Berry’s case, as one of his favourite activities is watching movies on large screens.
And where do you find the largest screens? In cinemas, of course! Unfortunately though, cinemas in China don’t allow dogs. However, Berry’s owners were determined to make Berry’s wish come true before he lost his sight and decided to reach out to a few people for help.
After much effort by sharing Berry’s sad story, finally, a cinema allowed Berry in the hall for his all-time favourite activity. How kind of themto make this a happy ending!
On the arranged day, 3rd March, Berry excitedly arrived at the cinema to watch a newly released dog movie, accompanied by 60 other people who were all there to warmly welcome the star of the day. Who can resist that adorable doggy’s face?
Before the movie started, Berry’s owners shared some of their precious memories with Berry, which brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
Not only that, some of the other cinema-goers also went the extra mile to bake a cake for Berry and brought him loads of other gifts as well! He was the centre of attention and had the time of his life.
Being the friendly and gentle dog that he was, he simply lapped up all the attention but when the movie started, Berry quietly settled down with his owners to enjoy the movie.
His owners explained that the idea to bring him to the movies struck them when they were watching TV at home with him, and they knew that he loved looking at big screens.
Berry is certainly one lucky dog! :’)
And for ya’ll with pets at home, remember to shower them with more love!
