We’ve all had our own stories about doing homework as kids. Getting scolded by our parents for getting an answer wrong is definitely one of them!

In a recent amusing video shared by @hamizahnorizan, her daughter is seen attempting to finish her Mathematics homework at their home in Johor.

Something isn’t adding up…

In the video, the 6-year-old can be seen crying her eyes out as she struggles to get the correct answer to a Math question… and clearly, she couldn’t.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Hamizah, the mom, shared that she was helping her daughter with her school homework. She corrected her daughter, pointing out that the answer she had given was incorrect.

Why settle for less when you can do more?

Hamizah explained that her daughter was assigned just 2 pages of homework by her kindergarten teacher. However, being an overachiever, her daughter tried to complete the entire book.

“She was only supposed to do 2 pages, but my daughter wanted to finish the whole book. Her teacher did mention that students are allowed to do that,” she added.

She went on to explain that her daughter was exhausted from doing so many questions, leading to a humorous moment where she blamed her own brain for not getting the right answer.

“My brain said the answer is wrong”

Despite the tears and brain-blaming, her daughter remained committed and persisted to find the right answer by counting on her fingers as she cried.

“I asked her to try the calculations again, and she managed to get the right answer,” said Hamizah.

Hamizah shared that, in the end, her daughter eventually figured out the correct answers to the questions. So, perhaps there was a silver lining to the struggle after all.

Hamizah’s daughter is definitely going to grow up as one of the most hardworking and determined people.
