Emergency services need to be ready to respond to a call for help no matter where they are or what they are doing, and apparently, that also includes abandoning the shower halfway if you’re called for duty!

A 23-year-old firefighter in southern China in the Guizhou province rushed out of the bathroom mid-shower after hearing the emergency siren.

According to a video, the firefighter can be seen rushing out of the bathroom half-naked and dripping wet as he responded to the alarm. He even lost his slippers on the way, but that didn’t stop him from running on his bare feet.

“When I heard the siren, I couldn’t help but run out of the bathroom immediately,” he said, according to SCMP.

However, it turned out to be a false alarm.

Nevertheless, this firefighter earned the respect of many online.

“This is a firefighter’s instinct. I laughed, but my heart also went out to him.”

“I hope that they can return safely every time.”

Kudos to all the firefighters, police officers, and other emergency services out there who are always there to make sure we are safe and protected!
