Fire Almost Destroys Jakel Shah Alam’s Three-Storey Shop Lot, No Casualties Reported

It was reported that this morning, a fire broke out at a popular textile outlet, Jakel Shah Alam in Section 7.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said that the department had received a distress call at 7:08am regarding a fire at the three-storey building.

 

He said teams from Shah Alam, Kota Anggerik, Subang, Kota Raja, Damansara, Sungai Pinang and Puchong fire stations were rushed to the scene.

 

The teams, he said, arrived 11 minutes later and found that the fire had engulfed about 80% of the outlet.

“The blaze was brought under control after nearly an hour.”

Norazam added that there were no injuries reported in the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
